How it's all started
The district of Kurram, particularly the area of Parachinar, is located in a remote and far-flung region from Peshawar, the capital city of KPK. This area is close to the Pak- Afghan border and is mostly inhabited by Shia Muslims. Over the past decade, the people of this region have been victims of terrorism and have not been able to escape this problem.
Almost every day, there are suicide blasts that
terrorize the people and have resulted in the
loss of many Shia lives, leaving behind orphans
and widows living miserable lives. In such
circumstances, it is difficult for a widow to
provide for her children, let alone give them a
quality education. In this scenario Al-Kausar Welfare Foundation started different projects for them with help of generous donors.
